About Miss Long

Miss Long

I am a native of Person County; growing up in Bushy Fork. After growing up in such a small town, I always wanted to leave and find adventure else where. So, I packed my bags and moved to Downtown Raleigh after being accepted into William Peace University (Peace College). I attended WPU for 3 years, majoring in Elementary Education and minoring in Anthropology. I am a dual licensed educator specializing in Elementary Education and Special Education. I graduated in 2015 with the mindset to stay in Wake County, with my friends, to pursue my teaching career. After a lot of thinking, I decided to come back home. So, once again I packed my bags for good, moving back home to Bushy Fork. It was the best decision I have ever made. I accepted the EC position at North End Elementary for the 2015-2016 school year. After teaching special education for a year, I was offered the Kindergarten position. I am beyond excited for the opportunity to teach these little kinder kiddos! Hang on tight for the wild ride through Kindergarten!
